In addition to Chapter 13 bankruptcy, there are two other types of reorganization bankruptcy: Chapter 11 and Chapter 12. Chapter 11 is designed for the reorganization of a business, but it is also available to consumer debtors when they exceed the debt limitation of Chapter 13. It is complicated and expensive. Chapter 12 is designed to permit family farmers repay their debts. The McConnell Law Office does not handle these two types of bankruptcy cases.
